I love the new guild halls. I specifically waited to get my guild one, and I was not disappointed. We are happy on our Isle of Weeping Stone.

On the same note, the guild scrimmages are so fun. I'm a hardcore PvE'er with little interest in PvP (though I hope that will change), but being able to beat on my guildies and allies is wonderful.

The new system for acquiring skills is great, imo. Not knowing whether I should buy a skill or wait because it might be given as a quest reward later bothered me, but I guess that was a gold (and skill point) sink.

The graphics are amazing. 'Nuff said.

There's probably more. I'll edit this when I remember them and find more (since I'm not even off "noob island"), but on a not-so-serious note...

Giving a new profession "upgrades" over the ele... brilliant idea.

The outdoor (non-city) areas are impressive. New head/hair choices for some of the classes. New pets. New content. Lots of quests. I like the way you get to know the henchmen before they become henchmen. More armor choices.

Good point, and I totally found out about it by accident while messing through the options. The work they put into that makes us lucky gamers for sure.

So frak those people who complain and beatch about this or that. This game is damn good and I luv it. A few kinks here and there but nothing that Anet can flatten down with their Hammer and Adrenal skills

I'm glad I get rewarded with cash and collector tokens, rather than a worthless axe that my ele will never use.

The new hammers are really cool

The fact that allmost any of the new hench are useable
(and that they can own anything for me :P)

Those dragons we CE-users will recieve are a more than welcome thing for the waiting time (yay, no 6 months waiting for a minipet )

The CE dances are very cool.

The new graphics are also very beautiful

[oops I posted this originally to the derivative thread and not this one...here goes]

-- I'm probably most grateful that Guild Wars is free to play online... I honestly wouldn't have gotten it otherwise.

-- I'm looking forward to getting a mini-pet (even though my first character's birthday is in late November -- I would have gotten GW:P sooner had I realized that my laptop could actually handle it); they're sooooo adorable -- I hope I'm still eligible to get one

-- It's all such eye-candy to be in Tyria and Cantha, it's the most engrossing computer game I've ever played...

-- I like being able to play with how my armor looks, and I like having to save up for stuff I really want (I spend too much money on clothes in Tyria/Cantha so I am still trying to save up for some 15k armor), and I like having more money to throw around in GW than I do in real life lol; course I'd love to have more money in RL, but I mean at least I have stuff to play with in GW... used to love playing Banker in Monopoly too.

-- I like that I'm learning a bit about (getting a taste of) Asian culture in Factions, it's actually making me curious to go see the landscapes of the Far East (would love to know more about the lands the devs looked at to develop the scenery). I like the diversity that Factions brings to the medieval fantasy world.

-- Course this next one will make me sound like I'm socially maladjusted; I have friends in real life, seriously! -- but I really enjoy trying to give my characters backstories and it's fun to jump into their personalities and "live" through them...

-- I loved Wintersday, especially the weeks leading up to it... it was just so much fun to build up anticipation and to play snowball fights and get exploding presents and candy canes... I can't wait for more themed stuff like that! Can we do a Chinese New Year or a Mardi Gras next year???

-- In all, I've played a few other RPGs (not many; this is sort of my initiation) and this one has kept my attention for by far the longest. It's just plain fun to come home from work and go get lost in Tyria (and now Cantha). Almost too fun... (I suppose I'm one of those persons for whom "You have been playing for x hours... Please conduct a reality check" were meant for...

-- And I'm grateful that ANet listens to the players. I'd imagine that, for most of us, when we offer critiques or complaints or suggestions, it's rooted in the fact that we love the game and want to keep playing and enjoying ourselves as much as we already have been.

-- I hope the devs read this thread! Thanks for starting it Eviance!

-- And lastly, thanks ANet for being such a creative and (creatively humorous) bunch, and for putting together a beautiful game.

Lol, not exactly related to the game but I'm most thankful for the mousepad that came with the CE. Amazing thing. ^^

Other than that, I find most things fun. Granted I didn't like the level grinding to get to level 20 in "pre-searing" Cantha, but everything on the main land so far (except people won't team my assassin ). Even the labyrinth-ish city. To be honest, it's one of the most interresting environments I've spotted so far. I believe the reason people just want out is since they can't find their way around there, and they want to get on with the game ASAP. I personally prefer enjoying the PvE environments and take my time exploring.

edit: Niiamelyn just reminded me; I definitely liked the snowball fights! Most fun I've had on GW so far.

Taking up their promise for the first batch of CE to arrive May 5th in USA.

" " Standard Factions to arrive ON TIME.

" " Preorder headstart extension.

Not making us collect 1000 things to complete a quest *cough*WoW* cough*

Not making us walk 5 hours from town to town

Not having monthly fees

Banning idiots that bot and sell gold on Ebay ^-^

Banning people that have filthy and foul mouthed grammar worse than a jailed convict

Banning people that use exploits to break the game

Rolling back the server when the economy got killed

Having NO downtime!!! (4 hours for server rollback is not downtime, more like server change)

Continually implementing player suggestions

Im thankful for all the hard work A Net has done and the love they have for their fans despite the infinite number of jerks and complainers who havent even gave the game a month. but guess what these people are still playing factions! Although they complain about every aspect of this game they continue to play. Which means they do love the game

I like...

Cantha (I like Tyria too!)
the new skills and class secondaries for my Tyrian characters
the new armour and weapon skins!
Kurzicks, and their home
the elegant core game design
birthday pressies!
gorgeous characters! (especially mine! )
PvE titles!
Silly titles!

But mostly, I'm thankful for all the fun I'm having - that's the best gift of all

Bump... come on guys you have things you can be thankful for. Granted we are displeased with lots of things but lets not forget the good stuff.

Anet, that xmas celebration was top notch! It was the best I have seen anywhere. You had festivities lasting for a good long while, snow ball fights. OMG I have never seen such beautiful decorations. Being one of the first to see ascalon on reboot I was in such awe that I almost cried it was just fantastic beyond words!

Thank you for that - out of everything I think that will stick out in my mind most of all!
